TADA Board Meeting - August 24, 2020
I wanted to update you regarding the scheduled August 24th TADA Board meeting. First, I must say there is no one more than me that wants to have an in-person meeting. I have not met many of you and was looking forward to that opportunity. However, in light of the current events related to the pandemic and the new ordinances that the city of Austin has instituted limiting meetings with groups larger than 10 people, we have decided to delay the in-person meeting and instead will schedule a Zoom conference call to discuss the latest legal, regulatory and political/legislative developments that have occurred.
We will plan to start the meeting at 10 am on the 24th. We will start the meeting with a couple of key leaders from the Texas House of Representatives to discuss current logistics at the Texas Capitol and how the 2021 Texas Legislature will likely operate.
Karen Phillips will then lead a discussion on the legal and regulatory issues that dealers have faced since the beginning of the year and Rob Braziel will discuss the political landscape and the TADA Legislative Committee’s work-to-date and preparation for the 2021 session.
The meeting should last around two to three hours.
If you have any questions before the meeting, please let me know and I will make sure they are addressed.
With kind regards,
Texas Party at NADA
